The sema ceremony, including a short introduction, lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Due to the spiritual nature of the ritual, flash photography and filming are usually not allowed during the ceremony; in many cases, photos are only permitted at the end of the performance.
It is a staged presentation of the Mevlevi sema ceremony with a spiritual character and some introductory explanations. Guests are kindly asked to remain quiet and respectful throughout the ritual.
