Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Three tastings with a drink are included: chicken rice at Maxwell Food Centre, a South Indian dish at Tekka Centre and kaya toast with kopi in Kampong Glam. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and nut-free versions are arranged if you tell us when booking; Little India in particular is largely meat-free.

About 4-5 kilometres over seven hours, almost entirely flat and much of it under covered five-foot ways. We break indoors in air-conditioned hawker centres and travel between districts by MRT, which is also air-conditioned. Carry water and refill at the free public fountains.

Cover shoulders and knees: light long trousers or a long skirt and a sleeved top work well. Shoes are removed before entering the Hindu and Chinese temples, so slip-on footwear saves time. The Sultan Mosque lends robes at the entrance, and women are asked to cover their hair inside.
