Frequently Asked Questions
Around 7 to 8 kilometres over the day, split into three separate circuits with breaks between them. The Devil's Throat catwalk and the Upper Circuit are flat and wheelchair accessible; the Lower Circuit has roughly 300 steps down and back up. You can skip any circuit and wait for the group at the service area, and the pace is set so nobody is rushed.
On the Devil's Throat balcony and at the end of the Lower Circuit the spray reaches you, so expect to be damp rather than soaked. A light rain jacket and a waterproof phone pouch are enough. The park stays open in the rain and the tour runs, since this is rainforest and it can rain in any month; heavy rain increases the flow and the falls become more impressive. Only a flood-level river closes the upper catwalks, in which case that section is rescheduled or refunded.
Lunch and drinks are not included, though a set menu inside the park can be added as a supplement. The Gran Aventura boat ride under the falls, other in-park activities, tips and travel insurance are also excluded, as is the Brazilian side of the falls, which is a separate excursion with border formalities.
