Day 1
Arrival in Madrid, Gran Vía and Historic Centre

Arrival at Madrid-Barajas Airport and meet-and-greet with our representative. After a warm welcome, we transfer by private vehicle to the hotel. Once you have settled in and rested, we head out for a first orientation walk along Gran Vía, with its theatres, cinemas and illuminated façades showing the city’s modern side. We then continue to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol to feel the atmosphere of the historic centre: arcades, street performers and the everyday life of Madrileños. Evening at leisure to enjoy tapas in a local bar or simply have a drink while watching the city’s rhythm.

Day 2
Royal Madrid: Palace, Plaza de España and Temple of Debod

After breakfast we start exploring Madrid’s most monumental and royal side. We first go to the surroundings of the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral, walking around the palace square and the Royal Theatre area to understand the history of the Spanish monarchy (an interior visit to the palace can be added as an optional extra). We then make our way to Plaza de España, where we find the monument to Miguel de Cervantes and, at its base, the statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, as if ready to set off on a new adventure. Later we head up to the Temple of Debod, an authentic Egyptian temple relocated to Madrid; from here you can enjoy one of the city’s most beautiful sunsets. Afternoon and evening at leisure to continue exploring or visit museums such as the Prado, Reina Sofía or Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the 3-day / 2-night format is ideal for a long weekend or short break. We can adapt the daily timings and visits to fit your flight schedule.

Madrid’s centre has broad pavements but also some cobbled streets and gentle slopes in the historic areas. Expect a moderate amount of walking (around 8,000–10,000 steps per day), so comfortable shoes are recommended.

In the base version of the program, entrance tickets are not included. Optional packages with pre-booked tickets for the Royal Palace and museums such as the Prado, Reina Sofía or Thyssen-Bornemisza can be added.

The program is designed with an English-speaking guide, although on certain dates or for specific groups other languages may be offered on request and subject to availability.
