- The order of the visits may change according to opening hours, traffic and the day’s operation. The content of the tour stays the same.
- The crossing between the two shores is made on the public ferry, subject to its timetable. Exceptionally, the service can be disrupted by rough seas or fog; when that happens the crossing is made by road.
- On this route the mosques — Mihrimah Sultan in Üsküdar and the one on Çamlıca Hill — are seen from outside. If the group goes into one, shoes are removed, shoulders and knees must be covered, and women are required to cover their hair.
- Kuzguncuk and Moda are residential neighbourhoods: the route is on foot along streets where people live, so noise and photographing people should be kept in check.
- The Kadıköy market and the local shops keep their own days and hours, and close or scale down during the religious holidays (Ramazan Bayramı and Kurban Bayramı, whose dates move). The guide adjusts the order of the day to what is open.
- The tour combines vehicle, ferry and walking sections through Kuzguncuk, the Kadıköy bazaar and the Moda promenade, with slopes and cobbles. Moderate walking level; comfortable shoes are recommended.
